After over 4 years of longing to release a seminal alt-country album, Not Good With Horses have today proudly released their debut album “Faultlines” through Compadre Music Co.
Produced by ARIA award winning Brendan Gallagher & Not Good With Horses very own Graeme Walshe, the album is a insight into the evolution of a band finding their own unique sound in the modern country, roots, alt-country and Americana landscapes.
The band were fortunate enough to be able to call on some of Australia’s leading musicians, including Jason Walker, Clare O’Meara, George Bibicos, in addition to producer Gallagher also lending his piano and guitar talents. The band were also honoured to have the ‘Hillbilly Daddy’ Bill Chambers duet on ‘You Were High’, a song specifically chosen to record with Chambers for this album.
“A smouldering, snaking groove, richly ornamented with some subtle and evocative guitar interplay and the sultry ache of Brielle Davis’ voice surveying the ruins and aftermath of a relationship.” – Post To Wire
